FAB Affiliates Programme FAQ
Frequently
Asked questions about the FAB Affiliate programme.
Q. How do I become a FAB Affilaite? A.
You'll need to have an account with us, if you have already purchased anything from us, trialed our software or signed up to our newsletter you'll already have an account.
To create a new account (it's FREE to sign up) click here, if you already have an account you can login and start configuring your affiliate details.
Q. How much can I earn? A. Commissions range from 1% to 10% depending on the product/service. For a full list of products in the affiliate scheme and current rates take a look at the Rates and Commissions page. There are no limits on how much you can earn and we don't cap high value products like some affiliate schemes do.
Q. Do I have to have multiple affiliate accounts for each of your different websites? A.
No. A single account will work for all our websites. So if you want to promote our software, craft items or video game products you can do this all from one account.
Q. I have multiple websites do I need an new account for each website? A.
No. So long as you tell us which domains you own and can verify them you only need the one FAB affiliate account.
Q. How do you track referrals?
A. We track referrals based on the domain that sent the visitor. We do not track your affiliate ID in links.
Q. Why do you track referrals like this? A.
Well, by leaving out an affiliate ID in your links, visitors are more likely to click through & purchase and thus generate a referral fee. When visitors see affiliate links they tend not trust the recommendation, leaving out the affiliate ID gets around this.
Q. But leaving out the affiliate ID limits where I can put links? A.
Yes it does. The disadvantage of this is you can't put affiliate links in emails you send or on domains you don't own or have full control over. To cater for this we increase your commission rates to as much as we can so what referrals are sent your earnings are as much as cna be.
Q. Can you generate my link code for me? A. We do provide some links and graphics for your use but as there is no affiliate ID required you can simply link to any of the pages on our websites yourself. We've tried to make the linking process as simple as possible.
Q. Rather than link to specific product can I simply refer customers to your homepage? A.
If you like. Any and all sales a visitor you refer makes are acredited to your account regardless of product or website (of ours) used.
Q. What's this 30 day cookie thingy? A.
When you refer a visitor to us, we place a small file on their computer called a cookie that stays there for 30 days. If during that time the visitor purchases anything you will receive a refers fee. However if the user creates an account (they have to do this to purchase something) then that customer gets assigned to you for the lifetime of the customer. All the time that customer makes purchase now and in the future you will receive a refer's fee.
Q. How often do I get paid? A.
Once a month. For fees earning two months in arrears.
Q. How do I get paid? A.
We offer the choice of payment options either via PayPal or if your have a SMS sending account with us we can convert your earnings into SMS credit plus and additional 10%, maximising your earnings potential even further.
Q. Can I refer other affiliates? A.
You can but you wouldn't earn anything from it. We only have one tier of affiliates. This is to conform with UK legislation about pyramid selling schemes. However technically we can see if affiliates refer other affiliates so we may from time to time send gifts as a token of our appreciation if you refer a successful affiliate, this is in no way guaranteed or would be considered an agreement of any kind.
Q. Where can I advertise my links? A.
You are free to advertise where you like so long as it's legal & moral. Check out the terms and conditions for our affiliate programme for acceptable use.
Q. Can I advertise using PPC? A.
If you want. However your landing page MUST be on your own website before refer the visitor otherwise we will not be able to track them.
